and what is ahead of you is what is In you.

Seek it. Centred in it, act and live.”

 "Words are not necessary. Both will have their eyes flooded, and the joy of tears will wash away all quarrels. Bhakti is the attitude of the mind, and jnana is the attitude of the intellect, both flow towards the Lord. The tragedy of human history is decreasing happiness in the midst of increasing comforts."

Is the casual vision of knowledge.
To see the many in the one,
Is the mission wisdom."

in your conduct, in your work.

To be moody in and disgusted with the responsibilities,

and to drag yourself through life, is a painful, unproductive existence."

His Santa Claus resembling beard is what caught my imagination as a child, for a long time i believed both are one and the same. For reasons unknown to me I often bowed down infront of an idol not knowing who or what he was. It was much later that my uncle introduced and told me about his contributions as a saint and social reformer. Later in my early adulhood I had the oppurtunity to gain deeper insight into it as i was studying about the renaissance movement in Kerala.

“If you first fortify yourself with the

true knowledge of the Universal Self,

and then live in the midst of wealth and worldliness,

surely they will in no way affect you.”

-----------------------------------------

"The supreme purpose and goal for human life... is to cultivate love."

-----------------------------

"All religions are true. God can be reached by different religions. Many rivers flow by many ways but they fall into the sea. They all are one."

---------------------------

"Knowledge leads to unity, but ignorance to diversity."

------------------------

"Sugar and sand may be mixed together, but the ant rejects the sand and goes off with the sugar grain; so pious men lift the good from the bad."

-------------------------

"That knowledge which purifies the mind and heart alone is true Knowledge, all else is only a negation of Knowledge."

------------------------------

"You should love everyone because God dwells in all beings"

-------------------------------

"Only two kinds of people can attain self-knowledge:

those who are not encumbered at all with learning,

that is to say, whose minds are not over-crowded with thoughts borrowed from others;

 and those who, after studying all the scriptures and sciences,

have come to realise that they know nothing."

-------------------------------------------------

"There are three kinds of love;
unselfish, mutual, and selfish.
The unselfish love is of the highest kind;
The lover only minds the welfare of the beloved and does not care for his own sufferings.
In mutual love the lover not only wants the happiness of his beloved;
but has an eye towards his own happiness also. It is middling.
The selfish love is the lowest. It only looks towards its own happiness,
no matter whether the beloved suffers weal or woe"
